ACTO organizes the ACTO ophthalmological academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of this academy, courses for ophthalmologists are held at the Cologne Merheim Eye Clinic on topics such as PDT, fluorescence angiography, laser safety, intravitreal injections, and chemical burns. The courses are being submitted for certification at the North-Rhine Academy for Medical Continuing Education and usually earn the participants one advanced training credit point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For doctor\u2019s assistants and other care personnel ACTO offers courses in topics such as the following: equipment usage, patient guidance for HRT, OCT, perimeter, refractometer, tonometer, VEP, ERG, EOG as well as in the care of optical devices. Other topics include assisting with minor and major surgical procedures on the eye, creation and further development of SOPs and uniform processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
