In June 2016, ACTO e.V. received some good news: Cognex Corporation in Aachen, located on Campus Boulevard with headquarters in the USA, donated €900 to ACTO e.V. as part of the Cognex “Stay Healthy” donation guidelines.
Donations under the “Stay Healthy” motto are primarily awarded to organizations for blind and visually impaired people, given that Cognex Corporation specializes in the production of image processing systems and sensors.
ACTO e.V. was able to benefit from this this year, as the association has been pursuing the further development and application of new methods of optical rehabilitation that compensate for the disadvantages of visually impaired and blind people in a variety of research projects since its founding in 1998.
